Catching Up and Emptying My Head!
Wow, it's been forever since I sat down to do this, but life, as always, has been full-on. Octavia has been keeping me on my toes—honestly, I can’t believe we’re already at the end of October! Where has the year gone?
I’m so looking forward to half-term, though. We’re off to Norwich for a couple of days, and I’ve got some fun days out planned for the kids. It’ll be nice to switch gears and have some family time.
We also had a surprise visit from my aunt who came all the way from Belize! It’s been lovely spending time with her, and I really appreciate the help she’s given me while she’s here. When you’re feeling a bit out of your depth with life (which I’ve totally been lately), having that extra support means the world.
Warren is properly settled into his new job now and seems to be really enjoying it, though he spent the night away recently and… let’s just say, one night was more than enough! 😅
We’ve also decided to start redecorating our bedroom, which has turned the house upside down in the process. But I know it’s going to be worth it once it’s all done. Physical chaos now for some much-needed calm later!
Oh, and did I mention I got promoted at work? Yep! 🎉 It means an extra day working, and Octavia will be starting pre-school in January, which is crazy to think about. Everything’s happening so fast, and I’m just trying to keep up with it all!
But you know what? Sitting down and emptying my head here has felt so good. I’ve missed this—sometimes, you don’t realise how much you need to unload until you finally do it!
Takeaway: Even when life feels like it’s moving at 100 miles an hour, taking time to pause and reflect can make a world of difference. Little moments of quiet, even in the chaos, help you reset and find your balance again.
